Does wearing mens printed t shirts make you more attractive to the opposite sex?
Is this something all the male population can rejoice over? A new study has revealed that simply wearing mens printed t shirts can make you appear more attractive to women, even if you can ahem carrying a little extra ‘relaxed muscle’ around the middle.
Research at Nottingham University took photos of the same man wearing a white t-shirt with a large “T” on it in slightly different sizes. So the horizontal bar of the “t” was longer on some rather than others and on some the shape was inverted. The face of the man was then blocked out and the series of photos was shown to a group of women who were asked to rate the pictures in terms of attractiveness, health and intelligence based only on the pictures.
The surprising results were that the women rated the widest upright “T” pictures at the top of their lists, even though they were rating the same man, although they were not given this information. Other research has shown that women tend to prefer men with a V-shaped torso. Basically someone with a big chest and small waist, and it is thought that the “T” is helping to stimulate this effect, but only if the horizontal bar of the shape is long enough. The attractiveness was rated higher the longer the horizontal was on the shirt, so accentuating the overall V-shape of the body.
So why not check out what mens printed t shirts are available on the website and have your own “T” added using our in-house personalisation service, who knows what changes in your life it might make. And if it isn’t life changing, then at the very least you have a great quality t shirt that you can wear during this great weather. Me I’m off to see what white t-shirts I like the look of in the warehouse.
