Stay dry at work, whatever the weather
With the weather we have had over the weekend, and the fact that the forecast says we should brace ourselves for more, this is the best opportunity to look at making sure you have enough waterproofs, whether that is jackets, trousers or coveralls for your workforce. Staying dry when working in the rain is all about selecting the right garment for the job and this depends on how long you are going to be spending outdoors in the elements.
When working hard one crucial factor to consider is the actual breathability of the fabric as this will help to maintain a comfortable level of body heat. The longer you have to spend outside at one time the more demands you are putting on the garment and the fabric and coatings it uses.
If you need to wear them in winter it may be worthwhile to look for those garments which had additional linings to provide extra warmth, but you will still need to allow for ventilation, so mesh linings in the back and underarm areas are always useful.
For example you may want to look at the Regatta X-ERT Overtrousers. Utilising Isotex fabric in their construction these are both waterproof and breathable, and are lightweight and have an elasticated waist for comfort. They even fold up into their own stuff bag so are ideal for keeping with you for those unexpected changes in the weather. So would this match up to your job’s requirements? Why not check our extensive range of waterproof clothing and see what we have available. All the top quality brands are represented here at Brookes, the home of workwear.
